How to use the word to pdf converter

    1. Choose or drop a .docx file.
    2. Pick the page size, text size and margins.
    3. Download the PDF.

How it works and what to expect

The document’s content is read in your browser and laid out again as a clean PDF. Headings, paragraphs, bold and italic text, bulleted and numbered lists, simple tables and embedded images are kept.

Because it doesn’t run Microsoft Word, exact fonts, columns, headers and footers, text boxes and precise spacing aren’t reproduced. For a pixel-perfect copy, use File › Save as PDF in Word, Google Docs or LibreOffice.

    Questions

Does it support old .doc files?

No, only .docx (Word 2007 and later). Open the .doc in Word or LibreOffice and save it as .docx first.

    Which characters are supported?

The PDF uses the DejaVu Sans font, which covers Latin, Greek, Cyrillic and many symbols. Chinese, Japanese and Korean text isn’t covered yet.

    Are my files uploaded?

No. The PDF is processed by your browser on your own device and is never sent to a server, so it’s safe to use with private documents.
