How to use the weighted average calculator

  1. Type a value, a space, then its weight on each line.
  2. Weights can be percentages, credits or counts.
  3. Read the weighted average.

How it works

Each value is multiplied by its weight, the results are added up, and the total is divided by the sum of the weights. Weights don’t need to add up to 100.

Examples

85 (20%), 92 (30%), 78 (50%)

Questions

Can I write 20%?

Yes. The % sign is ignored, so 20% counts as a weight of 20.
