How to use the username generator
- Type one to six keywords — your name, a hobby, a favorite animal or a word you like.
- Choose a style (cool, professional, gaming, cute or minimal) and a maximum length.
- Select Generate usernames, then click any result to copy it.
- Check availability on the platform you plan to use before you commit to a name.
What makes a good username?
A strong username is easy to read aloud, easy to spell after hearing it once, and short enough to fit comfortably in mentions and links. Most people remember names of roughly 6–15 characters far better than long strings of words and numbers.
Try to avoid characters that are easy to confuse, such as a lowercase l next to the number 1, and be careful with separators: a single underscore or dot can improve readability, but several in a row make a name hard to type.
How this generator works
The generator combines your keywords with style-specific prefixes and suffixes, joins multiple keywords together, and optionally adds short numbers. It removes duplicates, strips characters most platforms don't allow, and only shows names within your maximum length. Everything runs in your browser — your keywords are not sent anywhere unless you choose the optional AI suggestions.
Platform username rules at a glance
Rules change over time, so always confirm on the platform itself. As a general guide, most major social networks allow letters, numbers and underscores; some also allow periods. Spaces and most symbols are not allowed. Using the same handle across platforms makes you easier to find, so it's worth picking something that's likely to be free everywhere.
